Inspiring Futures: On behalf of Koolesh Shah Family Foundation, Holiday Inn Leicester Wigston Welcomes Oxford University Outreach Team
At Holiday Inn Leicester Wigston, we were honoured to host the Oxford University Outreach Team as they engaged with students from Leicestershire, Derbyshire, and the wider Midlands region for a day dedicated to aspiration, access, and academic ambition.
The event, held in our conference facilities, brought together young people from local schools to learn about the journey to Oxford—what it takes, what it offers, and, most importantly, how it can be for everyone. Through thoughtful presentations, open conversations, and honest advice, the team helped demystify the application process and encouraged students to aim high, regardless of their background.
This day was about more than just university applications; it was about planting the seeds of possibility in young minds. It was about showing them that their dreams are valid, their potential is real, and that prestigious institutions like Oxford are not out of reach.
