More than 1,200 died while homeless in the UK in 2021

More than 1,200 people in the UK died while homeless in 2021, a 32% increase on the previous year, as cuts to mental illness, drug and alcohol, and housing services took their toll, according to research. 274,000 people in England are homeless, with thousands more likely to lose their homes
