We are delighted to have funded the drilling and creation of a new borehole on the I Afrika property in Kenya.
I Afrika is a grassroots organization which provides holistic care for children rescued from the brutal streets of Nairobi. Many of these children, some as young as five, have complex emotional and physical needs resulting from malnutrition, physical and sexual abuse, drug use and disease. The project was founded in 2008 and began in a small rental. It now has an education and rehabilitation centre in Lusigetti, a semi-rural area 35 kilometres from Nairobi with facilities for housing sixty boys, a foster home for girls and boys as well as a newly established Transition House to support boys who have just left the streets
The borehole supplies the school, foster homes, farm, dormitories and offices which are all 100% dependant on the supply.
It is our pleasure to have assisted with such an important project.
