Young Westminster Foundation’s Brighter Futures Fund

At the Koolesh Shah Family Foundation, our mission has always been rooted in a simple belief: every young person deserves the opportunity to thrive, regardless of their background or circumstances.

With our headquarters proudly located in the heart of Paddington, we see firsthand the vibrant potential within our local community, and we recognise our responsibility to help nurture it. Positive change begins on our doorstep, and we are dedicated to investing in the future of the children and young people who share our borough.

That is why we are proud to support and contribute to the Young Westminster Foundation’s Brighter Futures Fund 2026. Established in 2019 to respond to the evolving needs of Westminster’s youth, the fund provides critical grants of up to £20,000 to grassroots organisations working directly with children and young people aged 0 to 25. For 2026, the fund has awarded grants across 32 extraordinary local organisations, ensuring that vital youth provision continues to grow where it is needed most.

This year’s funding focuses on creating engaging activities, unlocking new opportunities, and supporting local organisations that are deeply embedded within our Westminster neighborhoods. Together, we are addressing the real challenges facing young people today from physical and mental health wellbeing in a post-pandemic world to the rising cost-of-living pressures while ensuring that youth voices are truly listened to and empowered to shape their own futures.

I am a true believer that real, lasting change happens when local communities pull together.

We are proud to continue supporting the Young Westminster Foundation, so that every young person in our borough has the chance to reach their full potential.
