As you may or may not be aware, our foundation is a UK charity. Our objective is to harness the activities and initiatives of the family’s ongoing philanthropy work. We recently wrote a piece on the importance of charity, but why are they needed more than ever in today’s society?
Well, charities like ours bring together people who care about a cause so they can make a difference. Whatever it is that you truly care about, you’re likely to find a charity working on it. Charities and foundations like ours help in lots of different ways. However, the main benefits are the provision of direct help, providing information, and raising awareness to a worthy cause.
Largely, most people have a general understanding of the impact of sectors like manufacturing on society. They create jobs, income and goods/services to buy. However, the impact on society of the charitable sector is much more complex. Given the abundance of charities we now have in the UK, the economic, private and social value they create is vital to the way we operate as a whole.
We think that, accounting for the various social challenges we face in the UK, charities are needed more than ever. You may ask why? Well, charities like the K Shah Foundation are well placed to respond to the social challenges that the UK battles. This can range from education imbalance, social and income inequality, as well as the increase of despair and deprivation in areas across the country
We have the potential to build bridges and unite people through our valuable community work. If charities and the people in them can work across industries to build a better future, then the possibilities are endless.
The concept of charity is simple. It begins with the recognition to show compassion to others, regardless of whether this is consciously or unconsciously. We appreciate that everyone has problems, troubles, and griefs. The K Shah Foundation strives to extend compassion, kindness, and love to help others. This is something which is particularly valued, at a time where various social issues attempt to separate and divide us.
We believe in a world where every child can read. Our mission is to invest in early childhood education in order to empower the next generation. We do that, by creating educational programs and providing necessary resources in underprivileged areas. We believe in smart fund allocation, and therefore we employ minimal staff.
This is what people had to say…
